Rail: Ticket booking for the car train

With ÖBB-PV, it is still only possible to book separate tickets on the car train for the passengers or the vehicle. This can lead to the problem that one ticket is booked even though it is no longer possible to book the other ticket. In all such cases, however, there is no extraordinary reason for termination, at least in terms of the fare. For example, if you first book an Sparschiene ticket and only then try to book the car ticket, but this is no longer possible, you will have problems canceling the passenger ticket. Canceling or refunding the ticket is particularly difficult in combination with online tickets that have already been purchased or with Sparschiene tickets. The rail company is currently working on a new booking system for car trains.

• If you want to take your car with you, book the car train ticket with ÖBB-PV first, as there are generally fewer seats available.
