In which period must the flight have been booked for the offer to apply?

According to Lufthansa, all passengers who booked a return flight with Air Berlin before August 15, 2017, for the period between October 28, 2017, and November 15, 2017, and who have received a cancellation, can book a replacement flight at LH.com, eurowings.com, austrian.com or swiss.com during this period. It is important that the flight is actually operated by Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines or SWISS. If you are not sure, apf recommends asking the airline directly whether the selected flight is actually operated by the company before booking.

50 percent of the flight price back after the return flight - what should I do?

All passengers who submit their flight tickets and cancellation to Air Berlin after the return flight by December 15, 2017 at the latest will receive half of the ticket price paid back. It is not the amount of taxes and fees that is decisive, but the amount the customer has actually paid (regardless of whether Business Class or Economy Class ticket). Domestic flights are excluded from the refund.

The following must be submitted:

• Booking confirmation of your Air Berlin flight between October 28, 2017 and November 15, 2017
• Cancellation of your Air Berlin flight
• return flight tick of your replacement flight with Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines or SWISS that took place between October 28 and November 15, 2017.

Why does the offer for the return flight end on November 15, 2017?

According to Lufthansa, the airlines assume that the period of around two weeks will be sufficient for affected passengers to organize and start their journey home.
