Good to know...!
from Jürgen Vogl
- the ticket can only be accessed via the purchaser's cell phone app, unless the purchaser logs into the app or the homepage with their ÖBB user account before booking. In this case, the purchaser can decide whether he/she wants to receive the ticket as a PDF ticket or as a mobile ticket. If you have sent a mobile ticket to the wrong device, you can "release" it again to send it to another device.
- the mobile ticket can only be printed out if the user logs in with their ÖBB user account before purchasing.
- if you have made a mistake, the ticket - this also includes non-cancelable tickets such as the Sparschiene - can be canceled free of charge within the three-minute rule ("UNDO function") when purchased via the app. After that, the normal refund modalities apply. If a booking is canceled or the UNDO function is used, the user is returned to the shopping cart, where incorrectly entered data, such as the date, can simply be changed.
The apf recommends booking mobile tickets:
- Always check that all entries are correct before completing the booking.
- If a mistake was made when booking, you can cancel it quickly within three minutes using the UNDO function.
- Before booking, always consider whether the ticket is for yourself or another person and whether you will be taking the cell phone you are booking with you on the journey. If this is not the case, create an ÖBB user account so that you can send the tickets to other devices.
