Flight cancellation
from Shabbir Islam
When the passenger wanted to take his flight from Zagreb to Vienna in September 2015, he found out a few hours before departure that the flight had been canceled and that the alternative flight was only offered several hours later. As the airline did not respond to his complaint for six weeks, he contacted apf in order to receive compensation for himself and his two fellow passengers. He also informed us that the food vouchers issued by the airline could not be redeemed in the restaurants at the airport and that they therefore had to pay for their own drinks and snacks. The apf was able to mediate positively between the parties; the airline paid out 750 euros in compensation (250 euros per person) and 18 euros (six euros per person) to the complainants for the vouchers that could not be redeemed. If you are also affected by a flight cancellation, you can find out here what rights you have and what the airline must offer or pay you.
