Rail strike in Italy: What to do if trains are canceled?
Due to a 24-hour rail strike in Italy, there could be train cancellations and delays in traffic to/from Austria this weekend.
The trade unions are calling for a renewal of collective agreements and better safety measures for rail staff. Passengers are being asked to find out about their connections in advance and consider alternatives.
But what if the train is canceled?
Passengers are entitled to compensation or assistance in the event of train cancellations. If no agreement can be reached with the rail company, the apf offers a free arbitration procedure .
