Train: Overcrowded platform - train missed
from Jürgen Vogl
However, shortly before she arrived at the door, the door closed and the train departed. The lady then complained to the railroad company, but received no response to her complaint within a month and therefore contacted Agency for Passenger Rights (apf). The apf finally mediated positively as part of a conciliation procedure. The railroad company apologized to the complainant for the inconvenience and informed her that an internal system error had caused problems in processing the complaint.
Tips from the apf:
- Go to the platform a few minutes before departure and always try to board the train quickly.
- Trains of the "railjet" type are dispatched one minute before departure, which means that the doors close and are no longer opened so that the trains can leave the station on time.
- If you do not receive a response from the railroad company or transport association within one month, you can contact apf. To enable us to process your complaint quickly, please complete the online complaint form at www.passsagier.at.
